Yue Zhao Receives International Power Electronics Award

The University of Arkansas Power Group congratulates Dr. Yue Zhao, associate professor of electrical engineering, on receiving the Isao Takahashi Power Electronics Award at the 2026 International Power Electronics Conference in Nagasaki, Japan. This international award honors individuals for outstanding contributions to power electronics.
 
Dr. Zhao was recognized for his pioneering work in designing and optimizing high-power silicon carbide converters for transportation electrification and grid modernization. His research advances compact, efficient, and reliable power conversion technologies that support electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and a more resilient electric grid.
