UAPG recently hosted representatives from Southern States, LLC for a tour of research facilities focused on the future of power electronics, semiconductors, and energy systems.
During the visit, the guests toured the National Center for Reliable Electric Power Transmission (NCREPT), the Multi-User Silicon Carbide Research and Fabrication Facility (MUSiC), the High Density Electronics Center (HiDEC), and labs in the Engineering Research Center. Faculty and researchers discussed their work on making power systems more reliable, improving silicon carbide semiconductor technology, and creating new electronic systems.
