Power Group Team Wins International Design Challenge

Graduate students Pedram Heris and Abu Shahir Md Khalid Hasan, with faculty advisor Dr. Alan Mantooth, received first place and the Best Oral Presentation Award at the IEEE Power Electronics Society Aerospace Power Electronics Design Challenge.
 
The team competed against 22 international teams and developed a fault-tolerant DC-DC converter architecture to improve power electronics reliability in demanding aerospace environments. This accomplishment demonstrates UAPG’s continued leadership in high-performance, reliable power electronics for next-generation applications.
