NSF CAREER Award for Xiaoqing Song

The University of Arkansas Power Group congratulates Dr. Xiaoqing Song, assistant professor of electrical engineering, on receiving a prestigious five-year National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award to advance research supporting the transition to a smarter, more resilient electric power grid.

The project will develop new technologies that improve communication and coordination between the electric grid and distributed energy resources, helping create a more reliable, efficient, and secure energy system. In addition to advancing power systems research, the award supports educational initiatives that prepare the next generation of engineers for careers in modern energy infastructure.
