America’s First Multi-User Silicon Carbide Fab Launches in Arkansas

The University of Arkansas Power Group announced MUSiC, the nation’s first multi-user silicon carbide (SiC) research fabrication facility. MUSiC is an open-access SiC fab designed to fast-track U.S. SiC commercialization by offering prototyping, multi-project wafers, semi-custom shuttles and full custom builds — bridging the gap between device design and industry-scale manufacturing. The facility is supported by NSF mid-scale infrastructure funding and partnerships with the Army Research Laboratory, the University of Arkansas and the State of Arkansas.
