Interested in a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)?

Join the University of Arkansas Power Group this summer for a 10-week paid research experience. The REU program offers students the unique opportunity to attend research seminars, participate in networking events, and showcase their work at the end-of-summer symposium. Participants will explore graduate-level research alongside faculty mentors and current graduate students in areas such as:

  • Semiconductors – Explore silicon carbide semiconductor materials, device fabrication, and performance limits in extreme thermal environments.
  • AI– Spend your summer applying machine learning to power converters, chip thermal modeling, and system optimization.
  • Advanced packaging and reliability – Develop packaging solutions that push the limits of power density in mobile systems.
  • Converters and power electronics – Design power converters for real applications such as EVs, drones, or fast chargers.
